Announcing the Christmas Japan Blog Matsuri
-
Nick
The countdown to Christmas has begun, and we’ll be celebrating on December 24th when the JapanSoc Community Blog plays host to a festive edition of the Japan Blog Matsuri. That’s right, the topic this month is “Christmas”, and since nearly all of us Japan bloggers will at some point entertain our readers with stories of Christmas in Japan, I’m hoping to put together a bumper edition of the Matsuri to read while you enjoy your Japanese chicken and sponge cake over the Christmas hols.
Topic: Christmas (with a twist of Japan)
Deadline: 11pm, Sunday, December 21st
Submission: Leave a comment with a link to your article on this post or let me know via the contact form or submit your article via the Blog Carnival widget. If you’d like to use a special Japan Blog Matsuri Christmas Edition banner in your sidebar, there are a choice of sizes for you to use here.
Get in the festive spirit and be warned, I’ll be checking your blogs, so if you write about Christmas and don’t submit it to the Matsuri, you’ll be considered a miserly old scrooge and bah humbug to you!

Bah humbug! Do I have to actually *be* in Japan or can it be past tense too? :p
Nick 11:42 am on December 1, 2008 | #
Past tense is fine, and even submitting something you wrote last Christmas is fine if it’s still relevant.

The great thing about Christmas is the fuzzy red outfits. Speaking of which … who is Mrs. Claus? She sure is cute
Nick 10:53 pm on December 1, 2008 | #
She’s cute, but she cost me 95 yen from iStockphoto.
